Customer focus is Kolumbus' most important success factor. Their main goal is to make it easy and attractive to use public transport in Rogaland, and new user-friendly website was a critical factor in achieving this.
Kolumbus AS administrate the public transport in Rogaland in Norway. Kolumbus have a total of 450 buses, 10 express ferries and 3 ferries at their disposal.
From Monday to Friday there are a total of 85,000 daily travels registered with Kolumbus.
Kolumbus switched to Episerver in 2013, after a bidding process that Geta won. With then around 200 000 monthly visitors, they wanted a user-friendly, intuitive and tidy solution where it is easy for users to find what they are looking for.
More and more users are using mobile devices, so the new website was naturally set up with responsive design.
Episerver has made it possible to collect the digital focus on one platform. Episerver will eventually sew different services together, and the result has been a modern and powerful solution that lays the foundation for Kolumbus further strategic investment in innovative digital solutions.
We have also implemented a new and powerful My Page functionality with purchase ticket functionality, and we are working on new exciting projects together with Kolumbus to simplify their users digital experience.
We use Halogen as a subcontractor on service design and user experiences.
Geta are responsible for all implementation and further development of Kolumbus web platform on the latest version of Episerver and Episerver Find.
In addition, we assist with consulting, training and architecture work, and operate the solution in the Amazon Web Services cloud.
Geta has assisted to simplify their website since 2013, allowing it to be optimized for those who use it.
